Mr. Yohanes Prawira is the son of Mr. Hadi Mulyo Juwono, a furniture manufacturer and exporter with a European market who has started his business since 1968. In 2000 MFI conducted trial running production, and in May 2000 MFI started commercial production and exports to the US.
he main raw materials for our own brand “Legacy Tradition” are Mahogany, Mindi, AS Cherry Wood, Oak and Sengon Wood. The composition of the material is 70% wood and 30% auxiliary materials such as Plywood, MDF and other wood processed materials. The main raw material for OEM products is MDF with a composition of 50% MDF and various types of Veneers and 50% Wood. Local wood sources are obtained from Java Island, while imported wood is obtained from the US. MFI is in the process of obtaining VLO (Verification of Legal Origin) certification from Smart Wood USA, this certification shows that all wood materials used by MFI come from sustainable forests, of legal origin and eco-friendly (for every tree that is cut, then 10 new tree seedlings will be planted). Imported wood from the US is obtained from FSC Certified Forest.
With the development of the business and the more familiar PT. MFI in Asia is among furniture importers and wants to penetrate the market directly and release dependence on buyers who are large distributors, MFI, which previously only worked on OEM products, established marketing affiliates in the USA, MILLENIA USA.LLC as the holder of the registered furniture brand "Legacy Tradition" . This brand markets “Solid Wood Furniture” products at affordable prices and competes with other products made from MDF and Veneer. This makes our products have more value at the same retail price. Most of the furniture products marketed in the USA are made of MDF and Veneer, for end users having a product made of Solid Wood Furniture is a pride in the export destination country, especially if it is made of imported US wood (Cherry, Oak, Maple, etc.) or Indonesian Mahogany
